FAQWhat is the SoWash system?
Sowash is an innovative oral irrigation system, also called a water flosser, used to maintain a correct oral hygiene. Unlike its competitors, SoWash directly connects to the tap and it doesn’t need any batteries or electric energy to operate.
Why would I need SoWash?
Brushing teeth and using dental floss is often not enough to guarantee an effective and complete dental hygiene. Although it is not meant to substitute brushing and flossing, with its fresh and powerful water-jet SoWash arrives where toothbrushes and floss cannot easily reach. SoWash ensures deep cleaning of interdental spaces, helps to remove under gum plaque and rinses your mouth with a beneficial gum massage.
Why should I buy the SoWash system and not an electric irrigator with water tank?
Sowash system has several advantages compared to classical electric irrigators. Among the main advantages:
- it doesn’t need any batteries, nor electrical cables to operate;
- it’s quiet because of the lack of an electric motor;
- it allows you to conveniently regulate temperature and optimal water pressure directly from the tap;
- it’s not compact and easy to store;
- because it doesn’t need a water tank, there are no tanks to fill, refill, and drain, or unhygienic stagnations of water;
- it costs far less than electric irrigators.
The SoWash system is suitable and recommended for everyone, even those who already maintain a good oral hygiene and currently don’t have any dental pathology or problems. The SoWash system is particularly indicated in case of orthodontic apparatus, implants or prosthesis. Ask your dentist is SoWash is right for you!
How is SoWash ecofriendly?
SoWash is ecofriendly because compared to other electronic oral irrigators:
- It doesn’t require any batteries or electricity
- It uses only the water needed, without waste
- It’s much smaller than others and therefore less plastic is necessary for its production and packaging
- It has no internal motors so it is simple to dispose of.
Connecting SoWash is very simple: unscrew the aerator filter of your tap and replace it with the filter supplied in the box. Once the filter is connected, the SoWash system can be connected easily and quickly every time you want. The SoWash filter is only installed once: our special filter works just like a regular faucet aerator, guaranteeing water filtering and airing. For further information, watch our tutorial video on the assembly of the SoWash system here.
Is the Sowash system compatible with all taps and faucets?
The SoWash system is compatible with all taps with standard aerator filter (15/16″ male threaded or 55/64″ female threaded), both with internal and external thread. Adapters are available for non-standard threads and, in addition, you can also connect SoWash to the shower thanks to the multifunctional joint for shower.
I’m not sure that the SoWash filter fits my tap, what can I do?
First, check out the Technology section on our home page to view the different faucet options and which ones work with our adapters. If you are still unsure about the type of faucet you have, email our customer service a picture of your faucet so we can help you identify the size and type of thread of your faucet. Should your tap not be compatible with the Water Powered filter, other adapters are available for use with different threads. Alternatively, you could connect SoWash also to the shower, thanks to its multifunctional joint for shower.
Do I have to install the special filter for each use?
Absolutely not! The special filter must be installed only the first time you use any Water Powered products, and it is not necessary to unscrew it at the end of each usage. The filter works just like your old one, guaranteeing filtering and airing of the water.
Does SoWash need special maintenance or may it easily break/damage?
The SoWash system doesn’t require any particular maintenance, it doesn’t fear scale, and thanks to the high quality of its materials and the absence of electric parts inside, it guarantees the best life span compared to similar products.
Is the water pressure present in my area enough? I
n order for SoWash to work and obtain an effective dental cleaning, even low water pressure is enough.
Is the SoWash System safe?
The SoWash system is equipped with a valve (Patented System) that automatically discards excess water pressure in the sink, guaranteeing an optimal water-jet for dental cleaning and never dangerous for gums. Furthermore, without electric cables or batteries, SoWash is absolutely safe to handle.
Is water leakage from the bottom of the Quick Connector normal?
Water leakage from the lower part of the Quick Connector is absolutely normal and, indeed, it shows the correct functioning of the control valve for water pressure (Patented System). Thanks to this valve, some water is discharged into the sink ensuring the water jet is optimal and never too strong and potentially dangerous for the gum’s collar.
Why is there a water leak from the bottom of the handle?
The water leak from the hole at the bottom of the handle can be caused by bad insertion of the head on the handle: disassemble and reassemble the tip on your SoWash handle again. If the water loss persists, check inside the lower part of the head to see if a small black gasket is present. If so, please contact the customer service at email@example.com for further assistance.
How do I connect tips on the SoWash handle?
To remove the hydrojet tip, just pull it apart from the handle. To assemble a new one, you only need to insert on the handle until it clicks. To remove the hydropulser and hydrointerdental brush tips, slightly rotate the head and pull it. To install a new one, insert the head until it clicks and then rotate. Watch a tutorial here.
What is the difference between hydro-jet and hydro-pulser packaging?
The hydro-jet package contains, in addition to SoWash System and a filter with adapter, a single jet hydrojet tip. The hydropulser package contains everything listed in the hydrojet package plus a triple pulsating jet tip. Additionally, the hydropulser package contains a practical bag to preserve the device.
Can I use multiple accessories on a single SoWash System?
Yes. SoWash accessories (Hydrojet, Hydropulser, Hydro toothbrush, Strong, Ball Spray) are all interchangeable. If you can’t find answers to your questions above, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
